Autumn playlist

I have to start by saying a HUGE thank you for 100 followers on bloglovin’! I can’t believe a hundred people want to read what I have to say, I know it’s not much compared to most bloggers out there but I am so grateful to every single person who has ever even clicked the url of my blog and taken a look. So thank you everyone for following me, reading my posts, commenting on them, I hope you’ll continue to enjoy my posts!

New season, new playlist, right? Autumn is my absolute favourite season, I just love everything about it. Warm jumpers and coats and boots, the beautiful colours of the leaves that fall from the trees, the cold, dark nights that mean you can snuggle inside and light candles and drink hot chocolate and tea and coffee and not feel guilty about it.

So as I did a while ago, I’m going to share with you some of the songs I’m loving this Autumn. Some of them are new songs and some are my favourites that are a bit older. Autumn means more chilled out tunes that you can listen to while chilling inside by the fire, going on Autumnal walks, or wherever you are. These songs are more mellow and relaxed to reflect the season.

I don’t know about you, but at the moment when I turn on the radio, a lot of the songs sound exactly the same. I can’t stand when songs are overplayed, and it seems like right now when I listen to the radio all I hear are the same five songs which all have very similar boring tunes. I’ve tried to give a bit of variety in this playlist so I hope you enjoy!

• ‘This Town’ – Niall Horan
I can’t be the only one who completely freaked out when Niall randomly dropped this tune the other day?! Safe to say the internet went into meltdown, in the best way possible. Sometimes unexpected turns out to be the best, and this song is so sweet and chilled, perfect for Autumn and Niall’s voice is so soft and beautiful.

• ‘Ophelia’ – The Lumineers
If you read my last post you’ll know how much I can’t resist a good Shakespeare reference. Bit random, but I first heard this song when it was playing at work and I googled the lyrics and found out that my ears didn’t deceive me and it was indeed referencing Hamlet. Perfect.

• ‘I Want to Write You a Song’ – One Direction
Anyone who knows me knows my love for this song. It’s one of my favourites ever but it sounds especially amazing in Autumn as it has such a chilled, angelic vibe.

• ‘Treat You Better’ – Shawn Mendes
This is one song I hear on the radio that doesn’t make me want to turn it off!

• ‘Send Them Off!’ – Bastille
I mentioned in my last post that this is one of my favourite songs off Bastille’s new album, and it’s their new single. Also Shakespeare inspired which of course makes me very happy.

• ‘Kids’ – One Republic
I love One Republic, their songs always have such upbeat vibes. This is their new single and it’s so good.

• ‘Somebody Else’ – The 1975
The 1975’s album is so amazing, and this song is one of my favourites from it, it’s got a really chilled vibe and is perfect for autumn.

• ‘A Head Full of Dreams’ – Coldplay
Again, I first heard this song when it was played at work and I knew it was Coldplay straight away as they have such a distinctive sound. I looked up the song and found out this was it, so there you go!

• ‘Walking in the Wind’ – One Direction
Had to put another of my boys’ songs on the playlist. This song also has such an autumnal feeling to it, and without sounding completely cringey it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside like drinking a pumpkin spice latte on a cold day.

• ‘Paris’ – The 1975
This is another of my fave songs from The 1975’s album that I can never be bothered to name. It also gives me that warm feeling inside, it’s so chilled.

• ‘Moonlight’ – Ariana Grande
The opening song from Ariana’s new album and I just think this song is so cute and relaxing.

• ‘Wildest Dreams’ – Taylor Swift
Couldn’t put up a playlist without a Taylor song, but unfortunately it won’t be on the Spotify version of this playlist I’m going to link below. But you should still go and listen to this song because it’s amazing.

• ‘On What You’re On’ – Busted
I never would have imagined in 2016 I would be including Busted in a playlist that wasn’t a throwback one. Weird how things change, but Busted are back with a new song for the first time in 12 years! Their sound has definitely changed and matured and I actually love this song, it’s grown on me a lot since I first heard it.

• ‘Meteorite’ – Years & Years
I love Years & Years, their songs have such an uplifting vibe to them and this one is no different.

• ‘Snakes’ – Bastille
I discussed my love for this song in my last post, but Bastille have SO many good songs on that album it was hard to pick only two to go on this playlist.

• ‘Where My Love Goes’ – Lawson
This is quite possibly the cutest song in the history of ever. Like seriously, it’s so adorable and makes me so happy and warm inside every time I hear it. Also, you need to go and watch the video. I won’t spoil it if you haven’t seen it but your heart will most definitely melt.

• ‘Autumn Leaves’ – Ed Sheeran
Just the title of this song is enough for it to qualify for an autumn playlist, let’s be honest.

• ‘Youth’ – Troye Sivan
Weirdly, I actually only heard this song at work as well! I’ve heard of Troye Sivan but I’d never listened to any of his songs. When I heard it I thought ooh that’s a nice song, and I was pretty sure it was him as I knew he had a song called Youth. I have to thank my work for playing such awesome songs and letting me discover loads of fab new tunes!
